Grand Designs Live is a home renovation exhibition offering all design solutions under one roof. Built on the success of the award-winning UK consumer event, it will take place at the Coca-Cola Dome, Johannesburg from 20 - 22 May 2011. As a TV show, it has brought stylish yet accessible home renovation and design solutions to viewers around the world. Now the magic of this series is coming to Johannesburg and promises to give South African’s the opportunity to be inspired by the vast number of ways to turn a house into a home.
Featuring hundreds of South Africa’s leading companies, a comprehensive seminar programme, advice clinics hosted by leading industry organisations and fantastic features, Grand Designs Live has proven to be so much more than a décor and design exhibition; it has set a new standard for innovation and inspiration.
The IID are delighted to be supporting Grand Designs Live for the second year as part of our strategy to educate the public regarding the Interior Design profession, the role of the IID and the benefits of hiring registered members of the Institute. The IID House - will play a prominent role in the Interiors Hall which aims to strengthen the IID brand, both within the industry and amongst the general public, and offer our Members increased exposure and publicity. |

We are hereby inviting Interior Decorator and Designer Members to decorate one of the five rooms in the house. There will be no cost for exhibition space as the IID House is being sponsored. Grand Designs is a wonderful way to showcase the work done by our Members and to reach potential new clients. Working under the umbrella of the IID team, who will co-ordinate the build up and running of the show house, will also make it easier for Members to participate at this Expo.
We also want to reach out to our Industry Partners and Suppliers to participate as it’s a great opportunity to showcase your products. Furthermore all the Members that contribute to the IID House will be given additional exposure by being included in the IID marketing material handed out at the Expo.
