The Cape Quarter is a setting that defines contemporary decor sensibilities, so there couldn't have been a better location for Design Now! The event took place from 27-31 October 2010 and saw participating stores unveiling new ranges, decor experts participating in a stylish version of Speaker's Corner, a decor-inspired movie festival, and kitchen-cool displays from Culinary Cape Quarter. If you had all the time in the world, you could have taken in even more highlights, such as new pieces from Wunders La Maison, Baraka's glass mosaic art, tea or Champagne with Victorian Bathrooms, Pierre Cronje's French-oak Carnac furniture, as well as glassware from Okha. John Autard and Maarten Peutz hosted the Interior Placements Fabric Showcase which highlighted the latest ranges of fabrics, wallcoverings and passementerie from 21 leading South African suppliers. |
